The Apostle Paul addressed his son in the gospel with these words: “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry” (1 Timothy 1:12). The call and salvation of Saul of Tarsus from a hater and persecutor of the church was a miraculous act of grace and mercy.

His ministry to the gentiles gave hope to a diverse people group who were introduced to salvation through the sacrifice of Christ. We know some of the physical and spiritual sufferings, and the burdens of ministry he endured (2 Corinthians 11:23-28).

Yet, when reflecting on his life he was thankful he had been counted worthy to be involved in the ministry of the gospel.

Take time to pause in our busy lives of responsibility and give thanks that we have been given this privilege of walking in the gospel. Sometimes the weight of things makes us wonder why we’ve accepted such a path. However, where else could one find such blessing and anointing. We have opportunity in helping others find truth, purpose and ultimately salvation!
