Calling all to a 7-days of focused prayer over the next two weeks. The Word of God is living, breathing. It brings about conviction, correction, healing, comfort, peace, revelation, among many other things. Scripture must be applied to our lives, and we do that by living in accordance with it. In other words, our actions and behaviors ought to reflect or demonstrate scripture.
Equally as important, we must speak the Word of God into our lives. The Bible says that the tongue is the most powerful member of the body. The tongue has the ability to bring about death or bring about life (Proverbs 18:21). Your pinky cannot do that, your big toe cannot do that, your ear cannot do that, but your tongue can.
Jesus says in Luke 18:1 “…that men ought always to pray and not lose heart…”. In Luke 21:36 “Watch ye therefore, and pray always…”.
Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “Pray without ceasing.”.
David says in Psalm 141 “Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.”
God says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
The Word says that He “will forgive” and “will heal their land”. Men, our ‘land’ starts in our heart, our mind. It goes on to include our families, friends, churches, and communities.
So, let’s find ourselves before the King of kings, the Lord of lords, El Shaddai, the Holy One. Let us come before His throne in prayer, seeking His face, seeking His will, and speaking His word over our lives.
Day 1. Love for God and neighbors, [Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22: 37-39]
Deuteronomy 6:5
5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Matthew 22:37-39
37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Jesus, I pray that I would love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Jesus, teach me what love is, what love feels like, that I could love You in kind. Help me to rid myself of the world’s notion or definition of love and to learn and understand what Your love is like. That You would go to the cross for a bunch of sinners, for me, for my brothers and sisters. Your word says that I must love my neighbors as myself. Jesus, teach me to love those around me like You love me. To show a compassion so great, that it can only be described as a God-sized compassion. To demonstrate forgiveness and mercy unto my neighbors as You have shown Your mercy and forgiven me. Help me to show Your forgiveness seventy times seven times. Daily I need your forgiveness, teach me to daily forgive others.
In the MIGHTY, MATCHLESS, and ALL-POWERFUL NAME of JESUS I PRAY. AMEN.
Day 2. Love for truth, [2 Timothy 2:15, John 14:6]
2 Timothy 2:15
15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
John 14:6
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life…
Jesus, I pray that I would have a love and a passion for Your truth, for Your word, and Your will. To seek out understanding of Your word, of what You desire for me, with fervency. To search for You, to seek You. Jesus, You said (John 8:32) that I shall know the truth, and the truth shall make me free. I pray that as Your word refines me, as Your will transforms me, that the truth of Your Word and who You are makes me free. That the captivity of my heart and mind is made free. That scales fall from my eyes. That my land (my heart and my mind) is healed, restored, made new.

Day 3. Obedience, [Luke 9:23-25]
Luke 9:23
23And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. 25For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
Paul said “I die daily”. Jesus, teach me to crucify my flesh. To deny my flesh the things of this world. To lay my cares, my burdens, my struggles, my shame, my guilt, my pain, my sins at Your feet. To lay them at Your feet and leave them there. To allow your healing presence to fill the voids those things leave as I leave them at Your feet. Jesus, impart on me what You would have me do. Give me a passion for Your will, that I would make it my own. That I would embody Your word.

Day 4. Live by faith, [Hebrews 10:38]
Hebrews 10:38
38Now the just shall live by faith…
Jesus, I pray that I would walk by faith and speak in faith. That my daily life would be filled with faith filled speech, faith filled initiatives, faith filled decisions, and faith filled actions. That I would lean on You Lord, not just in times of trouble or need, but in good times, even when I’m on the mountain top. To step out when You ask me to do or to go, knowing that Your provision goes before me. Even if I don’t know Your reasons, even though I don’t see the big picture, Jesus You do. Your thoughts are greater than my thoughts, and Your ways are greater than my ways.
Lord, help me to understand what it means to walk by faith and not by sight. Jesus, I pray for the ability to see that a lack of knowing what comes next is just the next opportunity to let You lead me, is just the next opportunity to let You provide for me. Because the outcome of you leading, guiding, and providing for me is another testimony of Your goodness, your greatness, and your sovereignty.

Day 5. Raise a standard to the next generation [Deuteronomy 6:4-9]
Deuteronomy 6:4-9
4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
A strong, God-fearing man, will inevitably produce a strong God-fearing family. A strong, God-fearing man, will produce a space where a strong God-fearing wife can come along side him. These two, a man and a woman, along with Christ, will raise up strong children who are passionate about the things of God. It is the summation of these, strong God-fearing families, that produces strong God-fearing churches.
Lord, I pray for my spiritual strength. That I would pray with boldness and in alignment with Your Word. That I would demonstrate prayer in my household, teaching my family to pray, and the power there is in prayer. That I would teach who You are to my kids and testify of Your goodness in our lives. Highlighting things that You do for us that they may not recognize. Praising and pointing to You always.
In the MIGHTY, MATCHLESS, and ALL-POWERFUL NAME of JESUS I PRAY. AMEN.
Day 6. Unity of the brethren, [Ephesians 4:31-32]
Ephesians 4:31-32
31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Heavenly Father, I pray that all bitterness and wrath in my mind, all anger in my heart, and all manor of evil speaking be removed from me. Jesus, if it isn’t of You, I don’t want it in my beliefs, thoughts, or actions. Lord put these things away from me. I leave them at Your feet Jesus. Teach me to be kind and tenderhearted towards my brethren, forgiving them as You have forgiven me. I pray for Your Spirit and truth to fill me, bringing me into unity with You and those who are also found in your Spirit and Truth.
In the MIGHTY, MATCHLESS, and ALL-POWERFUL NAME of JESUS I PRAY. AMEN.
Day 7. Peace [John 14:27, 1 Timothy 2:1-2]
John 14:27
27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
1 Timothy 2:1-2
1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Jesus, there is no peace but Your peace. You freely give peace beyond what words can describe. I pray for that kind peace over ALL of the land You have bestowed upon me and given me trust over. I pray that Your peace saturates me. That it is demonstrated in my speech and actions toward others. I pray for peace in my neighborhood, my community, my city. Let it permeate homes, offices, schools. I pray for peace in the lives of any who are in authority. Whether it be the dad next door, a teacher in school, the city mayor, or the state governor, I pray for peace in the lives of ALL those in authority.
In the MIGHTY, MATCHLESS, and ALL-POWERFUL NAME of JESUS I PRAY. AMEN.
